Curriculum

The Field of Dreams curriculum provides the necessary framework to support the development of the whole child.  The classroom environments, inside and outside, are designed and arranged to enhance learning opportunities and experiences among young children with assistance from caring adults.   The curriculum sustains a safe and nurturing environment to facilitate the development of a variety of skills including but not limited to; cognitive, emotional, physical, and self-help/life.  The goals of our curriculum are as follows;

  1. Help foster the growth of your child’s development from six weeks to 10 years old.  To also help support your child’s progression through the classrooms from infancy to our preschool and afterschool programs.

  2. Provide a loving, caring, nurturing and educational environment for your child and family to experience on a daily basis.

  3. Help the teacher establish and maintain a classroom with sufficient resources for daily exploration among young children.

Our classrooms are set up in learning centers which facilitate hands on and individualized learning.  These centers include: blocks, creative arts, music & movement, sensory table, dramatic play, science & nature, technology, math & manipulatives, books & literacy, and our natural playground.

The Field of Dreams curriculum is also focused on celebrating and recognizing families.  As a result, we will celebrate Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Grandparents Day, Week of the Young Child and birthdays. We do not incorporate other holidays; Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. into our curriculum.
